Re-SnackDown Results

Hello everyone,

The Re-Snackdown online round is over and we have decided to fly down the top 7 teams for the on-site finals. The finals will be held at our headquarters in Mumbai – Directiplex,  on January 10, 2010. The teams which will battle it out in the finals are : TheKingsGambit, DareToCode, BruteForce, CounterGambit, phoenix, Dream and Ckrackers.

Teams 8-20 will get the cash prizes as previously announced. Please check this link for more information about the prize structure. Teams 8-20 in order are : anshulgoyal, Blitzkrieg, ARP_Poison, idleheads, fighters, M_block, BackBenchers, Continuum, Jaspal_Siddarth_Ashish, fighter, Monty_and_his_GF, random and ramthegreatcv. Congratulations to all the teams who made it to the top 20. We will contact you soon.

As mentioned previously, here is a special mention of the best team from each college and their global rank.

    Gr8 contest..This type of contest gives us lot of exposure competeing against some of the best coders of the country.. It will be very nice if you organize this contest yearly and include even more teams to final :)

    It was a bit disappointing after the shambles of the first contest to see the test cases were wrong for one of the problems again. True, they got fixed quickly this time, but it only took 2 minutes to see they were obviously wrong.. felt pretty unprofessional as if they weren't even checked at all.

    Small mistakes are part and parcel for a programming contest … I am still very thankful to codechef for having these contests :)

    Some interesting facts according to me,

    Out of Top Seven, three are ACM ICPC world finalist this year and one was last year.
    So, overall we have four ACM ICPC world finalist competing in Codechef Snackdown onsite contest.
    This gonna be fun :)

    Also, if we ignore the order then first five teams here are same as of ACM ICPC Kanpur onsite regionals this year.
