The December 2010 CookOff has ended!

Hi guys,

The December 2010 CookOff, our fifth short contest and our final short contest for the year 2010 has now ended. The competition began with a bang as 3 corect submissions arrived withing just 9 minutes.

We would love to to thank our fantastic cooks this night, Zac Friggstad and Rajiv Aggarwal, our awesome problem setter, tester and moderators.

    1. If you mean the Grand Total of the existing rating system, then the answer is no. We are going to release a new rating feature exclusive to the CookOff’s. The performance of all previous CookOff’s shall be taken into account. The long contest and the short contest will have independent Rating system for the time being. The new rating will be seed based rating and exclusive to the CookOff’s. Once we publish it, we will also provide a detailed explanation of the algorithm that we shall use, for your scrutiny and feedback.

    1. @manoharsingh: The new rating for the CookOff’s has not yet been implemented. We are implementing and testing the same. It will be seed based rating and exclusive to the CookOff’s. We are a small team working on various things. We are as anxious as you to get the new ratings system out.
