This is one more entry in the list of things that we have been working upon on your feedback. We have updated the compiler versions for some of languages that have been long pending. Python and Go being the most wanted changes. Below is the list of the 4 languages that have been upgraded to their latest version.

Language Old Version Updated Version
Python (2.x version) 2.5 2.7.2
Go 2010.07.14 1.0.2
Bash 3.2.29 4.0.37
Pascal (fpc) 2.2.4 2.6.0

Hopefully your favourite language is in this list. 🙂

Till we bring more interesting news to you, which wont be too long, good bye.

  1. My favourite language is OCaml. Unfortunately the compiler version used by code chef was realesed 4,5 years ago. I would much appreciate an update to the 3.12 version. Well, I understand that this update is not a priority since OCaml is far from being the most popular language.
