Learn Competitive Programming With CodeChef | Weekly RoundUp

2 min read

We are back with another roundup for this week, and things cannot get any better. If you’re new to these roundups, this is where we talk about the free Live Classes held on the CC platform every week. Here we will be highlighting some of those popular classes.

Also, if you are not aware of these free Live Classes, I have provided a complete explanation for that in the end, so do check that out. To access these classes, use the Code – CODECHEF when on the Learn Competitive Programming With CodeChef category on the Unacademy platform.

Classes that make you wonder and bring out the best in you!

Feb 05, 2021 – Dynamic Programming constitutes a vital part of DSA. It is one of the basic and the most effective ways when you need an optimised algorithm. Dynamic programming is used when we have problems, which can be divided into similar sub-problems. Our educator Arjun Arul, who himself is a two-time ICPC World Finalist and a coach at IOITC, has a Special Class that can help you with your DP queries. Here, he covered the basics of Dynamic Programming by looking at some classical problems. This class is especially for those who are new to DP.

Feb 08, 2021 – Arrays are among the most essential and basic concepts in data structures and algorithms. This might be the topic that most people are aware of, but certain problems need more attention when discussing Arrays. Arnab Chakraborty’s free class on Arrays is the ideal starting point for any budding programmer. Learning the concepts effectively and solving the problems based on that would help you understand the topic easily.

Feb 09, 2021 – Combinatorics is the field of mathematics concerned with selection, arrangement, and operation within a finite or discrete system. There are a lot of problems in competitive programming that are directly related to Combinatorics. Utkarsh Gupta’s class on Combinatorics Problems is ideal for you to start with such an intriguing topic. In this class, he discussed the different types of problems and various techniques to solve those.

Feb 11, 2021 – If you love the element of surprise, then we certainly have a treat for you! Pulkit Chhabra, one of our top educators, conducted a Special Class on a Mysterious topic. This class is meant for Beginners. In this class, Pulkit will introduce a topic that is not disclosed so that the class is more fun and challenging for students. The mystery filled with the joy of learning will keep you glued to your seats till the very end!

We have several other free classes and events that can help you with your daily dose of competitive programming. You can attend the sessions conducted by Sanket Singh on various miscellaneous topics like Kickstart to Competitive Programming, among others. These classes and events occur every week with the other Special Classes, so make sure you regularly check the platform for these.

What is a Free Class (aka Special Class), and how can you attend one?

Free classes are called Special Classes and can be attended by anyone on the Unacademy Platform who registers and chooses Competitive Programming as their goal. When you try to check any of the classes mentioned earlier, you will be taken to the Unacademy platform and will be required to sign up using your mobile number or email address. You would be receiving an OTP on your registered credentials to enter in the signup menu. Once you have signed up, you need to add Competitive Programming to your goal from the drop-down menu. This will ensure that learning CP remains your goal this year, and you keep getting updates about any new programming classes on the platform. To watch these free classes on the platform for the first time, always remember to use the access code CODECHEF.

That wraps up the roundup this time. We’ll be back with some fresh details next week. Till then, keep coding!
