Another week, another set of exciting classes from Learn Competitive Programming with CodeChef Program on Unacademy! With a bunch of free Micro-Courses, Special Classes, and weekend learning events, there was something for every aspiring coder this week.

Also, if you are not aware of these free Live Classes, I have provided a complete explanation for that in the end, so do check that out. To access these classes on the Learn Competitive Programming With CodeChef category on the Unacademy platform, use the Code – CODECHEF.

Special Classes for your programming appetite!

Feb 20, 2021 – Time and Space Complexity analysis is a very important concept in DSA. These analyses help us to understand and come up with an optimum algorithm for a given problem. Master Theorem is one of the ways by which such analysis can be done. In this Special Class by our top educator Sanket Singh, you will come to know about the advanced concepts of Time and Space Complexity analysis. Sanket has discussed the Master Theorem and the proof of it to solve divide and conquer based recurrences.

Feb 21, 2021 – Almost every programming aspirant who learns DSA starts with some or the other Sorting Algorithm. A Sorting Algorithm is used to rearrange a given array or list elements according to a comparison operator on the elements. The comparison operator is used to decide the new order of the element in the respective data structure. Instead of looking out for different resources for each Sorting Algorithm, Deepak Gour has consolidated a Special Class for you. In this class, he discusses the importance of Sorting and some naive Sorting Algorithms like Bubble, Selection, and Insertion Sort. You will also come to know about their implementation, time and space complexities, visualization, and stability.

Feb 22, 2021 – In recent years, Python has emerged as one of the most popular programming languages and rightly so because of its easy syntax. Many students want to learn the details of the language. Still, because it is a fairly new language, a lot of legitimate information is not available but don’t worry because we have got you covered. Arnab Chakraborty’s Special Class on Python will demonstrate different tips and tricks for solving problems. More focus is made on List Comprehensions, Map, Filter and Join methods. These sub-topics tend to be very important but are neglected in most of the available resources.

Feb 25, 2021 – Modulo Arithmetic is a very well known topic in competitive programming. Many problem setters assume that participants already know about this when they set questions in various examinations and contests. Therefore, it’s essential that you are well versed with this concept. Even if you don’t want to dive into the absolute complexities of this topic, you should prepare it till Modulo Inverse. Nishchay Manwani’s Special Class on Modulo Arithmetic is the sure-shot place for you to get started with the concept. Focusing only on the vital details, this class is the perfect way to prepare a topic so detailed and complex.

Several other events keep on happening on the platform every week. We had the Colosseum Test on 20th February. Colosseum Test is a chance for all aspiring programmers to challenge themselves every Saturday & win some amazing prizes. Even if you couldn’t participate, you can still go to the Unacademy platform and access the test and other related events. This will allow you to challenge yourself for fun and personal growth.

What is a Free Class (aka Special Class), and how can you attend one?

Free classes are called Special Classes and can be attended by anyone on the Unacademy Platform who registers and chooses Competitive Programming as their goal. When you try to check any of the classes mentioned earlier, you will be taken to the Unacademy platform and will be required to sign up using your mobile number or email address. You would be receiving an OTP on your registered credentials to enter in the signup menu. Once you have signed up, you need to add Competitive Programming to your goal from the drop-down menu. This will ensure that learning CP remains your goal this year, and you keep getting updates about any new programming classes on the platform. To watch these free classes on the platform for the first time, always remember to use the access code CODECHEF.

This is it from the roundup for this week. We’ll be back with another one, till then, keep on using the free resources provided by Learn Competitive Programming with CodeChef on Unacademy. Ciao!
