We are back with another roundup this week, and we have got so much more to catch up on with Learn Competitive Programming with CodeChef program on Unacademy. If you’re new to these roundups, this is where we talk about the free live classes called Special Classes and weekly events and test series held on the Unacademy platform every week. A detailed description of it has been provided in the end. Here we will be highlighting some of those popular classes.
To access these classes on the Learn Competitive Programming With CodeChef category on the Unacademy platform, use the Access Code – CODECHEF.
A Plethora of Special Classes| March 12, 2021 – March 18, 2021
Dynamic Programming – Dynamic Programming (DP) is an algorithmic technique for solving an optimisation problem by breaking it down into simpler subproblems. It constitutes a large part of modern-day programming; therefore, it bears a lot of significance in CP. Istasis Mishra, our educator and a CS Research Undergrad at IIIT Hyderabad, has come up with the ideal class for all your DP problem needs. His Special Class on Dynamic Programming is a must if you want to strengthen your basics.
OOPS In Java – For people that use JAVA as their preferred programming language, OOPS are like the holy grail! Ask any JAVA programmer, and they’ll tell you that to ace that language, you need to understand the concepts of OOPS. Our top female educator, Riya Bansal, took a consolidated Micro-Course surrounding this vital topic, and you should not miss out on that. She talks about the concepts of Object-Oriented Programming in Java and discusses topics such as Inheritance, Abstraction, Polymorphism and much more.
Basic Data Structures – I think we would be talking about the importance of DS for the billionth time now, and the fact remains the same. To become an absolute beast in programming, you need to strengthen your core Data Structures. Keeping this in mind, Kushagra Nigam came up with just the right class for all your queries. You might be well aware of the Basic DS, but to become a master at it, you need to solve some questions as well, and that’s what this class offers to you.
Problems on Number Theory – Another class from our very own Kushagra Nigam! This time he takes you on a ride to explore the intricate world of Problems on Number Theory. With specific questions curated to cater towards CP, this is a class that you surely shouldn’t miss out on if Number Theory gives you the chills!
Events that made the weekend even special!
Just like every other week, we had some exciting events lined up during the weekend as well. Firstly, the Ace DSA 3.0 workshop on DSA, which includes theory, problem-solving, and everything necessary for a DSA course. You can go to the workshop link and get access to the full information.
Secondly, every Saturday, we conduct a 60-minute programming aptitude test (MCQ based) with 35 questions called Dead Heat. If you have a knack for coding but don’t know where to start, this can be the perfect option for you. Even though the test is over, you can still take part in it to solve the questions and have fun!
What is a Free Class (aka Special Class), and how can you attend one?
Free classes are called Special Classes and can be attended by anyone on the Unacademy Platform who registers and chooses Competitive Programming as their goal. When you try to check any of the classes mentioned earlier, you will be taken to the Unacademy platform and will be required to sign up using your mobile number or email address. You would be receiving an OTP on your registered credentials to enter the sign-up menu. Once you have signed up, you need to add Competitive Programming to your goal from the drop-down menu. This will ensure that learning CP remains your goal this year, and you keep getting updates about any new programming classes on the platform. To watch these free classes on the platform for the first time, always remember to use the access code CODECHEF.
We’ll be hosting several interesting classes and events in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for those. This wraps up the roundup for this week. We’ll be back soon with more exciting resources. Till then, let’s crack it!
