Last week was full of learning and exploring at the Learn Competitive Programming With CodeChef category on Unacademy. We all had a gala time, and we’re here with a recap to bring you up to date with everything that happened. In case this is your first round up blog, let us provide you with some background info. Our weekly roundup blog is where we give you a consolidated recap of all the special classes, weekend events and test series that are held on Unacademy. If you aren’t aware of what a special class is, scroll down to the bottom for a detailed explanation! For now, here are a few of our favorite special classes from this week.
Unlimited Special Classes – 17th to 23rd May!
Introduction To Competitive Coding – We kick-started the week with an exciting class alongside Educator Arnab Chakraborty. The class was aimed for beginners, and we covered various key points for Competitive Programming like the necessary languages and different algorithm types. The class was an informative session overall, and if you’re looking for guidance, you can watch it here.
Hashing – In this class educator Chitrank Mishra broke down the complex concept of Hashing in an understandable way. The Hinglish class was aimed at intermediate level coders, and was a fairly detailed session. We even had solved some problems at the end of the class to put everything we learned into practice! If this sounds like a class you want to watch, head on over here.
Popular Interview Problems – In the second class of her series, Riya Bansal, Software Engineer at Flipkart, delivered a beginner-friendly session on how to tackle interview problems. The class was mainly focused around implementation and intuition and was a big hit amongst the students. If you’re looking for a few tips and tricks yourself, you can watch the class here.
Bit Manipulation – In a riveting session, Educator Vivek Chauhan discussed the many techniques of Bit Manipulation. The class was taught in Hindi, and the 7-star coder even shared with us some of his favorite tips and tricks when it comes to Bit Manipulation. If you’re an intermediate looking for a lesson on the subject, we suggest you go and watch the class here.
What The Weekend Looked Like!
Elevate – The Weekend Programming Aptitude Test
This weekend was especially eventful for us because we just concluded our last test in the series Elevate. The MCQ test was an hour-long deal, with 35 questions to answer. Most exciting of all perhaps, was the fact that the winner got a free 3-month subscription to the Learn Competitive Programming With CodeChef program, while ranks 2-100 secured scholarships based on their performance! Although the test has now ended, you can still go here and give the test for practice reasons!
Other than Elevate, we also had our DSA Bootcamp! The camp involved 2-days of intense training that included 10 hours of programming theory, and 10 hours of practice sessions on topics such as Graph Theory, Dynamic Programming, Square Root Decomposition, and more. The event was absolutely amazing, and we highly recommend it for every beginner and intermediate level coder. If that’s you, you can catch the classes here.
