To say that the past week at our Learn Competitive Programming With CodeChef program on the Unacademy platform was chock-full of learning would be an understatement. We had a ton of free classes, and a weekend event that left us spellbound. To make sure you’re up to date with all of it, we’re here with our traditional recap. If you’re unaware of this tradition, this is our weekly round-up blog where we play catch-up with all the free classes and weekend events of the past week at Unacademy. If you don’t know what a free class is and how it works, we’ve added a description at the end. For now, here’s all our favorite classes!
A Week Full Of Learning | 7th – 13th June
Floyd Warshall Algorithm For Shortest Path – In a class that had all the attendees hooked from the beginning, Educator Saptarshi Mukherjee introduced us to Floyd Warshall algorithm. It was a session which had no prerequisite (except a curious mind, of course), and taught us all a great deal. If you’re looking to get started with the concept, you can catch the class here.
Introduction To Trees (Problem Solving) This session was definitely a crowd-favorite as it was geared towards practical problem-solving. Educator Chitrank Mishra helped us learn how to implement the tree data structure, and the class was topped off with everyone solving practice problems. It was definitely the perfect class, and you can watch a recording of the entire thing here.
Dynamic Programming – Educator Riya Bansal led the class in solving problems and taught us the finer details of the concept. The class also covered intuition building for fine tuning your problem solving abilities. If this sounds like something you want to do, check out the session here.
Tips & Tricks For Python – This was an absolute must-see session for all coders. The English based class was aimed at beginners, and Educator Arnab Chakraborty gave us some seriously handy tips and tricks. The session mainly revolved around concepts like List Comprehensions, Map, Filter, and Join Methods, and if these are things you want to learn, head on over here.
The Perfect Weekend Event!
Get Started With DSA – Last week’s weekend event was a 2-day workshop that was the absolute dream of every programmer just beginning their journey, we covered the revered concept called DSA. The event centered around the crucial and core topics of DSA, and we also had live doubt clearing sessions to help ace every single aspect of learning. Additionally, we had AMA sessions on subjects like online judges for DSA practice, profile building for FAANG companies and more. Overall, it was a great way for a coder to spend their weekend. If you ended up missing the entire shabang, you can watch the recorded classes here.
