The New Colleges That Stole The Spotlight This October Long Challenge!

Our monthly contests are a hotspot for college coders, and this October Long Challenge we had plenty of colleges in the mix battling it out for the top spot in the ranklists. A few popular Universities of the country and few tier one colleges often dominate the competition, but this time we’re highlighting the efforts of the students who’ve got their college on top for the first time. Here’s a list of the top 5 colleges that made their debut appearance in the top colleges list of a CodeChef competition! 

Chandigarh University – The Chandigarh University certainly left its mark on the contest with a stunning 326 participants. All the players from here must have worked hard, because by the end they all collectively sent in over 2.4k solutions. Participants piyush1687, parasguglani, unaimedarrow, and amanjha_5513 were the star performers of the competition for the university as they all tied for the 15th rank in Division Three. 

Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Hyderabad – Next up we had the Hyderabad Institute of Aeronautical Engineering. We had 302 coders from this institute give it their all during the 10 days, and at the end we saw a grand total of 1875 submissions from here. atkurianeesh17 was the ace of this Institute as he achieved the 68th rank in Division One! 

ABES Engineering College – On the third place of this chart we have the ABES Engineering College with its 243 participants and 1700+ submissions. The players of the Uttar Pradesh college worked super hard as 37 coders from here tied for the 81st position in Division Three! 

Pune Institute of Computer Technology- Fourth on this list we have the Pune Institute of Computer Technology. The Institute had 220 coders send in over 1.6k submissions over the course of the competition. nachiketkanore was the best performance of the Institute as he secured the 67th rank in Division One. Additionally, 35 players in this Institute tied for the 81st place in Division Three as well. 

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology – Last but not least we have the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology. Nearly 200 coders gathered from this Institute and managed to send in 1,300+ solutions before the competition ended. tanyaas19 stole the show for this Institute as she secured the 15th rank in Division Three. Moreover, 38 players from this Institute also managed to squeeze into the tie for the 81st place in Division Three.

Apart from these colleges, the VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology,  Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, and quite a few others made their mark in this Long Challenge.
