The Starters is a contest for budding talent, and our emerging college coders are proof of that. While big Universities and tier-one colleges are usually the prominent performers, we had plenty of new colleges give amazing performances in Starters 15 & 16. Here’s a list of colleges that debuted in the top in these contests.

CMR College of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad – The students of the CMR college cooked up a storm in Starters 15 and 16. We had 359 participants from here who put the pedal to the mettle and sent in 1761 submissions over both the contests. While the college had a lukewarm performance in Starters 15, coder nagasai74 stole the show in Starters 16 with his 57th rank in Division Two!

BVRIT Hyderabad College of Engineering for Women – We saw another stunning performance from the BVRIT Hyderabad College of Engineering for Women. Over both the competitions we had 142 players participate and send in nearly 500 submissions. Coders u_shivani_1279 and chandana_1234 were a few of the prominent performers from the college. All the pupils gave us some truly great displays of grit and skill, and we look forward to seeing them take over the ranklists in the upcoming contests.

Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology, Kanpur – The Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology had 142 coders chasing glory in the October Starters. The players worked hard throughout the competition, and they had sent in 650+ submissions by the end of both the contests. The standout player of the institute was aadiupadhyay who secured the 71st rank in Division One in Starters 16.

Padmasri Dr. B.V Raju Institute of Technology, Vishnupur – The Padmasri Dr. B.V Raju Institute of Technology must have been buzzing with action as 139 players from the Institute participated in both the contests and sent in nearly 800 submissions. The ace from here was coder sujithvamshi with his solid skills.

The other players of the Institute also had some great tricks up their sleeves, and they’re competitors to look-out for in other CodeChef contests.

Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal – The Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology put up a solid show as 127 coders from here attempted to crack the problem-set for Starters 15 and 16. After doing their best the players managed to send in 917 submissions over both the competitions. Players pawanrawat and  rajtomar007 lead the coders of the Institute into battle with their stunning grit and determination.

Other than these 5 colleges and institutes the Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Hyderabad, the Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology Gorakhpur, and the MLR Institute of Technology, Hyderabad were some other standout performers of both the competitions. It’s largely exciting to see new colleges on the CodeChef contests, and we can’t wait for when they give the pros a tough fight. Until we see you again, keep coding!
