The Colleges That Stole The Spotlight In The October Cook-Off & LunchTime!

October was one fun month, and the Cook-Off & LunchTime were amazing. The contests saw plenty of competition, and college coders stood out in both of them. While tier-one colleges usually dominate competitions, we had plenty of new colleges and institutions leave their mark in the contest. Here’s a list of colleges that debuted at the top in the Cook-Off and LunchTime! 

Shri Vishnu Engineering College For Women, Bhimavaram – Our top-performing college was Shri Vishnu Engineering College For Women. Throughout the contests, the college had 268 participants and sent in 1041 submissions. While sireesha_809 was the ace of the college during the Cook-Off, harshi_1114 led the for the LunchTime. 

VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology – Up next was the VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology, with 157 coders and 912 submissions. Coders eventhorizon_9, jupally_1234, sushanth208, and mrudhu2001 were a few of the best performers of the Institute. 

Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology Gorakhpur – In third place, we had the Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology Gorakhpur. The University saw 141 coders participate and send in over 1000 submissions during both competitions. noobie150 was the star of the University as they clinched the 71st rank in Division Three in the Cook-Off. 

Dr. BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology – The students of Dr. BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology did a stellar job throughout the Cook-Off and LunchTime. 103 of them participated in the competitions and sent in 1021 submissions. While the_brigadier and munna912 stood out in the Cook-Off with their 60th and 71st rank in Division Three, yatin_yk08 was the ace of the LunchTime with his 116th rank in Division Two! 

National Institute of Technology, Durgapur – Last but not least, we had the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur with its 96 players and 941 code submissions. The Institute shone in the Cook-Off as coders rick_sanchez_ and sudipandatta clinched ranks 178 & 194 in Division One, murtaza504 and archishman123 claimed places 47 and 83 in Division Two, and sneh1998_nitd took home the 47th rank in Division Three. They had a pretty fantastic performance in the LunchTime with players vishaaaal and rick_sanchez_ claiming the 69th and 79th spot in Division One. 

Apart from the above 5, the Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, the GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, and the Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, New Delhi, also put up a great show in the Cook-Off and LunchTime. We look forward to seeing more new colleges on the top in our upcoming competitions. Until then, keep coding!
