The SnackDown Grand Finale! | Part 3!

The SnackDown Finals are closer than ever before, and we can barely keep still because of the anticipation! Come January 9th, 60 players are going to battle it out for first place, and we think it’s a good idea for us to introduce you to the players that you will be rooting for in the finals! In case you missed it, you can check out the first part of our SnackDown Grand Finale blog series where we announced the top 60 here & the second blog where we introduce the first 20 finalists, here! For now, it’s time to get to know the players who secured the ranks 20 through 40! 

Finalist 21 – ashmelev a.k.a Alexey Shmelev, 6★ coder from Russia

ashmelev is a CodeChef veteran who’s been around since 2012! He has participated in over 30 competitions, and the closest he came to a win was in the 2017 April Cook-Off when he secured the 3rd rank! Winning the 2021 SnackDown would certainly be a way to end this streak in style! 

Finalist 22 – kaizero a.k.a Sunghyeon Jo,    

6★ coder from South Korea

kaizero has been a part of CodeChef since 2013 and he’s given us plenty of memorable performances along the way. His most standout performance to date was the May LunchTime 2014 where he stormed to victory after an epic competition! 

Finalist 23 – risujiroh, 7★ coder from Japan

risujiroh joined CodeChef in 2020, but in his 2 years here he’s achieved quite a lot. He’s competed in 20 competitions, he’s successfully completed the journey to becoming a 7-star coder, and he even came close to tasting victory when he clinched the 2nd rank in Division One during the 2021 August Cook-Off! 

Finalist 24 – grumpy_gordon a.k.a Ramazan Rakhmatullin, 7★ coder from Russia 

Another player who has given us some splendid performances, grumpy_gordon has been around since 2017. The coder has some great skills and he proved exactly that when he took home the win in the external rated contest Plinth-Enigma’19 LNMIIT Techfest. 

Finalist 25 – dreamoon4 a.k.a Huang I-Wen, 7★ coder from Taiwan

dreamoon4 has had a great run over the years, and we’ve enjoyed watching him grow as a coder. He’s won 4 titles in his time here, with his first win being the 2014 March Cook-Off, while his most recent win was SnackDown 2021 Online Qualifiers. 

Finalist 26 – ormlis a.k.a Fedor Romashov, 4★ coder from Russia

ormlis has been a part of the CodeChef platform since 2019 and while he did come close to winning during the 2021 August LunchTime, he’s still waiting patiently for his first title. 

Finalist 27 – tranxuanbach, 6★coder from Vietnam 

tranxuanbach has been frequenting the CodeChef platform since 2017 and he’s managed to claim 5 titles in his time here including a LunchTime! 

Finalist 28 – alesya_ivanova a.k.a Alesya Ivanova, 3★ coder from Russia 

Next up is alesya_ivanova, a player who joined CodeChef in June of 2021. Her SnackDown performance has been her biggest achievement on CodeChef as of now, and we feel certain she’ll be looking for a win in the finals to drive this point home! 

Finalist 29 – carolina2018 a.k.a Carolina Moura, 4★ coder from Brazil 

As her username suggests, carolina2018’s been around in CodeChef since 2018. She seems to be in good form entering the SnackDown finals as she claimed her maiden win earlier this year in Division Three of the March Cook-Off! 

Finalist 30 – c1_6 a.k.a Hanit Banga, 7★ coder from India 

Our first finalist from home country India, c1_6 has been a part of CodeChef since 2014 and in his 7 years here, he’s managed to take home 6 wins! 

Finalist 31 – rahuldugar a.k.a Rahul Dugar, 7★ coder from India 

Whom some of you might know as problem-setter, rahulgugar has been active on CodeChef since 2017. In 4 years he’s won 7 competitions, the first of which was 2018’s Quick Code, and the most recent one being the ICPC Asia-Kanpur Onsite Replay Contest 2019. 

Finalist 32 – jtnydv25 a.k.a Jatin Yadav, 7★ coder from India

Another one of our beloved problem-setters, jtnydv25 has certainly left his mark on CodeChef. jtnydv25 will be entering the final on an all time high as he recently clinched his first win at the SnackDown 2021 – Online Round 1A. 

Finalist 33 – aryanc403 a.k.a Aryan Choudhary, 6★ coder from India

aryanc403’s been a part of the CodeChef platform since 2017 and he’s certainly given us dazzling performances, not the least of which are 5 wins! 

Finalist 34 – kal013 a.k.a Kalash Gupta, 7★ coder from India 

Next in line we’ve got kal013, who’s been competing at CodeChef since 2015. Over the last 6 years, kal013’s racked up an impressive record of 12 wins including the CodeChef Certified Advanced Level Exam! 

Finalist 35 – anshugarg12 a.k.a Anshu Garg, 6★ coder from India

While anshugarg12 has been active in CodeChef since only 2019, he’s certainly got a killer record. In his 2 years here, he has won 19 competitions and has managed to level-up to become a 6-star coder! 

Finalist 36 – taran_1407 a.k.a Taranpreet Singh, 6★ coder from India

Right behind anshugarg12 we have coder taran_1407. taran_1407’s time on CodeChef has been littered with wins as he has taken home 17 titles from 2017 to now! 

Finalist 37 – kshitij789 a.k.a Kshitij Sodani,

6★ coder from India 

The 37th place has been clinched by coder kshitij789. kshitij789 has spent 4 years on CodeChef and has won two competitions in this time – the CodeChef Certified Advanced Level Exam, and the SnackDown 2021 – Online Round 1A. 

Finalist 38 – teja349 a.k.a Teja Vardhan Reddy, 6★ coder from India 

teja349 has been a part of CodeChef for over 6 years now, and he’s won himself a total of 11 competitions. His most recent win came at the SnackDown 2021 – Online Round 1A! 

Finalist 39 – fsociety00 a.k.a Shubham Patil, 6★ coder from India

fsociety00’s been around since 2017, and despite a little dry run in his early years on the platform, Shubham entered the SnackDown in style with his maiden win being the SnackDown 2021 – Online Qualifiers. 

Finalist 40 – aayush9 a.k.a Aayush Aggarwal, 5★ coder from India

aayush9 has frequented the CodeChef platform since 2014 and he’s often shown us some great skills. However, his most standout performances to date have been the Innerve’s Summer Code Challenge and the SnackDown 2021 – Online Qualifiers as he managed to secure the first rank in both these competitions.
